Test #1: Nasal RT-PCR & Saliva RT-PCR Test
COVID-19 Molecular RT-PCR Nasal and Saliva tests are considered the “gold standard” in SARS-CoV-2 detection. This test detects RNA that is specific to the virus and can detect the virus within days of infection, even those who have no symptoms. Results in 24-48 hours.
Test #2: Rapid Antigen Test
This test determines if you are actively infected with the virus. The rapid COVID-19 antigen test detects specific proteins that are bound to the virus. Using a nasal swab to obtain a sample, antigen tests can produce accurate results in 15 minutes.
